"Our Tom"

Im sure a lot of you are aware of the recent terrible news of one of our most colourful players Tom Seward.. The very sad loss of Tom shocked the whole community, town and further.. Tom was a Big part of Manchester United which brought him friends and acquaintances not just across the Country but also in Europe..He can now have the best view watching over his beloved Old Trafford.. “What a Club”

He was an ever present in the Kendal and District Pool League as well as the Local Snooker League
I have this evening been informed that his family have asked to share the plan for his funeral. Sadly nobody is allowed to attend it as there is a maximum of 10 permitted. We have been asked to respect this as there is nothing else that can be done. So toms mum has asked if we could line the street in Burneside as the car passes by. The car will be leaving his home at 2 o’clock Wednesday the 27 of May and slowly drive along Burneside towards Kendal. Those who carnt make it to Burneside can do the same along Burneside road shortly after. giving people One last chance to say their goodbyes to him. As this isn’t the way any of us want this there will be a church service at a later date for us all to attend to give him the send off he deserves. Followed by a wake for us all to raise a glass an a few jägers for him. I hope as many as possible are able to line the streets (with social distancing obviously) to send him off.
